More than 300 media makers are issuing a manifesto to denounce racism and discrimination in the media. They demand concrete changes and argue for a Media Reporting Center for Racism & Discrimination. It is not yet known when the reporting point will be operational, spokesperson and co-initiator Natasja Gibbs told Nu.nl. “But there is urgency behind it, so it should not take months.” According to the initiators, there is close consultation with the Dutch Association of Journalists (NVJ).
