The NPO is prepared to see to what extent additional help can be provided to the hard-hit cultural sector. A spokesperson reported this to the ANP, in response to the call from composer Stephen Emmer. Emmer, on behalf of hundreds of artists, called on the NPO to provide them with more support during these difficult times. The composer would like to see the public broadcaster offer artists a temporary platform, so that they still have a medium to release their work. Emmer states that the government's current delta plan is not sufficient to keep the arts sector afloat.
