In the film "Talking with the Night Watch", journalist Coen Verbraak interviews characters from Rembrandt's famous painting, including the painter himself and his wife Saskia, played by actors. The film, directed by Theu Boermans, was created without a script and the actors improvised their roles. Art historian Fieke Tissink provided the cast with historical information. Originally intended for television, the film was eventually released in theaters. The film combines personal dramas with artistic conflicts, resulting in a surprising end product.
