Morgan Knibbe, known for his Golden Calf-winning documentary "Those Who Feel the Fire Burning", has made his feature film debut with "The Garden of Earthly Delights". The film delves into the chaotic world of Manila, where the lives of teenager Ginto and lonely Dutch tourist Michael intersect. Ginto struggles with drugs, crime and sex work, while Michael is confronted with his own demons. Knibbe addresses themes such as colonialism, exploitation and gender diversity, and strives to make complex subjects palpable.
