De Zwitserse ‘Netflixwet’ levert de eerste resultaten op: CHF 15,9 miljoen geïnvesteerd in lokale producties in 2024'
The "Lex Netflix" law in Switzerland, implemented on January 1, 2024, has already invested CHF 15.9 million in local productions. This law obliges streaming services and foreign broadcasters to invest at least 4% of their annual revenue in Swiss film production. Of the total investment, CHF 9.3 million went to film creation, including the acquisition and production of films. The first Swiss Netflix series, "Winter Palace," also benefited from this. The results were announced at the Locarno Film Festival.
