Five animated films have been selected to screen as short films in Dutch cinemas in 2026. One of the films, "55,433," directed by Patrick Raats, follows track sprinter Jeffrey Hoogland as he breaks a world record. "Ear of Missing Out," by Jennah Kips, tells the story of an ear that escapes from its owner, Joyce, seeking silence. "Insha' Allah," directed by Souffien Melad, explores the thoughts of 8-year-old Samir during evening prayers, where he experiences his first crush.
