Aku-Ik van Anne Jan Sijbrandij wint NPO Documentairetalentprijs'

Anne Jan Sijbrandij has won the NPO Documentary Talent Award 2025 with his film project, Aku-Ik. He received the award during IDFA Project Space NL at De Balie in Amsterdam. The jury report praised his project for its in-depth approach to personal and universal themes such as identity and connection. Sijbrandij and five other filmmakers developed their documentary ideas with the help of mentors and guest lecturers. The award, a €25,000 development grant from the NPO Fund, will support the further development of his documentary project.
