At the 2025 International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), youth documentaries will no longer be in their own competition, but will be spread across various sections, including the Current Future program. This program, curated by filmmaker Niki Padidar, features films not specifically made for young people, but suitable for this demographic. These films, including "My Sister's Room" and "As the Crow Flies," will also be screened in other IDFA sections. Padidar, who won a youth competition in 2015, has selected only films for ages 14+ this year due to a limited selection for younger viewers.
