In gesprek met regisseur Leni Huyghe over haar debuutfilm ‘Real Faces’'
In her debut film, "Real Faces," Brussels director Leni Huyghe explores themes of personal growth and self-reflection. The idea for the film arose during her stay in São Paulo, inspired by Zygmunt Bauman's book "Liquid Modernity." She developed the screenplay together with screenwriter Vincent Vanneste, whom she met after his appreciation for her short film "St. James Infirmary." The film follows Julia, who struggles with her identity after a breakup and finds growth through a new friendship with Eliott.
