The New Dawn film production fund has selected four projects that amplify underrepresented voices in the film industry. The selected projects are: "Birthday" by Lara Zeidan from Canada will receive €100,000 for a story about a teenager in Beirut during political unrest. "Judas Tree" by Susan Bayani, also from Canada, will receive €200,000 for a story about an Iranian-Canadian woman grappling with her past. "Modou Modou" by Brahim Tall from Belgium will receive €50,000 and follows Senegalese street vendors. "M(otherland)" by Maïté Maeum Jeannolin, also from Belgium, will receive €50,000 for a documentary about transracial adoption.
