The BBC is in talks with YouTube about a deal that would see the British broadcaster produce specially created programs for YouTube. This content, aimed at younger viewers, would also be available on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds. The deal, which Variety reports could be announced next week, includes short and long-form programming for existing and new BBC channels on YouTube. This would allow the BBC to generate revenue outside the UK through advertising on these programs.
