NTR is starting filming for the new five-part drama series Hemelrijk, directed by Jim Taihuttu and Lisette Donkersloot. In the series, Saskia, played by Denise Aznam, inherits a tea plantation in Indonesia and discovers a hidden family history. The story explores the impact of Dutch colonial history. Hemelrijk, co-written by Taihuttu, will be filmed in collaboration with Malaysia and will air on NPO Start in January 2027.
