Meer Dan Babi Pangang behaalt met 10.000 bezoekers de Kristallen Film'
In her directorial debut *Meer Dan Babi Pangang*, Julie Ng investigates why Chinese-Indonesian restaurants serve dishes that Chinese people never eat at home. Her quest begins at Golden House, her father's restaurant in Rozenburg. The script, co-written by Ng with San Fu Maltha and In-Soo Radstake, explores how babi pangang emerged from a cross-pollination of Chinese, Indo-Dutch, and Dutch cultures and what this reveals about adaptation, image formation, and cultural identity. The documentary, nominated for the Golden Calf Competition and the NFF Debut Competition, was released by Periscoop Film in 86 cinemas.
