In the podcast series *Cinema Perdu*, Rogier Proper speaks with writer, poet, and translator Guus Luijters about Amsterdam's lost cinemas, which existed at over eighty locations between 1910 and the present. Luijters, who worked as a screenwriter with Dutch directors, shares memories of cinema-going from the late 1950s to the 1990s, while Proper himself was active as a screenwriter, script doctor, and editor-in-chief of film magazine *Skoop*. The conversations took place between August and November 2024, after Luijters announced his impending death, which he passed away on January 3, 2025. The series consists of approximately eight episodes, each lasting fifteen to twenty-five minutes.
