De herziening van FIAPF herschrijft de wereldwijde festivalkaart met 17 topfestivals en zes nieuwe leden'
FIAPF has overhauled its festival accreditation system for the first time since 2007, with 17 events receiving official A-list status and six new festivals being added to the accredited network. The A-list includes established names such as Cannes, Berlin, and Venice, as well as newcomers like the Busan International Film Festival, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, and the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. The total number of accredited festivals rises to 49 in 29 countries, with the evaluation based on quantitative and qualitative data regarding film submissions, audience reach, and industry engagement. The reform stemmed in part from complaints from filmmakers regarding high entry fees and limited industry opportunities at certain festivals.
