A report by the CNC shows that total investment in French film production fell to €1.37 billion in 2025, with domestic contributions declining by 7.5% while foreign investment rose to €294.3 million. Streamers kept their investment stable at €76.1 million, with Disney+ expanding its involvement to 23 films following an agreement with French guilds. Traditional commercial channels such as TF1 and M6 withdrew significantly, while Canal+ remained the largest financier with €155.6 million. The number of major productions exceeding €20 million halved to four films, including Xavier Giannoli's "Rays and Shadows" and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "Changer l'eau des fleurs".
