Focus op films uit Vlaanderen op Festival Cinemateca in Montevideo'
The International Cinematographic Festival in Montevideo puts Belgium in the spotlight as the guest country, with a series of Flemish productions having their Latin American premiere. Heysel 85 by Teodora Ana Mihai, which previously premiered at the Berlinale as a Special Gala Screening, opens the Belgian focus on March 31. Additionally, feature films by Cecilia Verheyden, Kat Steppe, Frank Van Passel, and Caroline Strubbe have been selected, as well as documentaries by Volkan Üce and Rand Abou Fakher, both of which had their world premieres at IFFR. The short documentary by Marthe Peters and co-productions by the Dardenne brothers, Laura Wandel, and Mees Peijnenburg will also be screened.
