Three Flemish series have been selected for Canneseries (23–28 April), with Boho and The Deal With Iran competing in the Short Form Competition and the Documentary Series Competition respectively, while This Is Not A Murder Mystery will receive a special screening. Boho, conceived by Abbie Boutkabout and directed by Olympia Allaert, follows three thirty-somethings from Borgerhout and will have its international premiere at the festival. The Deal With Iran, written and directed by Maarten Stuyck and Lennart Stuyck, reconstructs a foiled bombing plot that exposed an Iranian agent network across Europe. This Is Not A Murder Mystery, directed by Hans Herbots and Matthias Lebeer and written by Christophe Dirickx and Paul Baeten, places surrealist artists such as Magritte and Dalí in a murder mystery. All three productions received support from the VAF/Mediafonds.
