CinemAsia celebrates its eighteenth edition from April 8 to 12, 2026, at Studio/K, Rialto De Pijp, and Eye Filmmuseum with over forty films from Asia and the Asian diaspora, half of which are by female filmmakers. The New Visions program presents eleven debut films, ten of which were made by women, while the overarching theme *commons* serves as the unifying factor. The festival opens with *Becoming Human* by Polen Ly and closes with *The Waves Will Carry Us* by Lau Kek-Huat, while the Pioneers program screens classics, including *Golden Slumbers* by Davy Chou.
