With 722,000 visitors, the cinema sector experienced its best Easter weekend since 2017, with this result illustrating the ongoing recovery following the coronavirus period. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Project Hail Mary drew the largest audiences, while Dutch productions also performed strongly: Loverboy: Vertrouw Niemand and Champagne both achieved Golden Film status as their attendance extras exceeded 100,000. On average, over 80,000 people visit a cinema in the Netherlands daily, and the outlook remains positive as the release schedule for 2026 still includes titles such as Avengers: Doomsday, Dune: Part 3, and various Dutch productions.
