The Netherlands Film Fund has appointed Iwana Chronis as Managing Director effective May 1, succeeding Sandra den Hamer, who served as interim director for three years. Chronis, who has worked at the Fund since 2019 and was responsible for the artistic content assessment process as Head of Feature Film & Documentary, will lead the organization together with Business Director George van Breemen. The announcement was delayed because the appointment required confirmation from Minister Rianne Letschert, with the cabinet formation process having to be completed first. Chronis previously worked for the Hubert Bals Fund, Movies that Matter, and IDFA.
