Filmmaker Ramón Gieling passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the age of 71. In 2008, Ramón was nominated for the Golden Calf for Best Feature Documentary for Joaquin Sabina - 19 días y 500 noches. Last year, Ramón also appeared at the Netherlands Film Festival with the premiere of his film When Chueca Dies.
