Two Dutch co-productions have been selected for the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, which takes place from May 12 to 23. Coward by Lukas Dhont, produced by Topkapi Films, is part of the Official Competition and tells the story of young Belgian soldier Pierre who meets the mysterious Francis behind the front lines during the First World War. It is Dhont's third feature film to be selected for the official selection. During Critics' Week, The Station by Netherlands-based Yemeni-Scottish filmmaker Sara Ishaq premieres, with Keplerfilm acting as co-producer and the story set in war-torn Yemen.
