House of Hope, directed by Marjolein Busstra and airing on April 26 at 10:40 PM via Omroep ZWART on NPO 2, follows Manar, a Palestinian woman who founded a Waldorf school in the West Bank together with her husband Milad. The documentary was filmed over a period of three years, and the story unfolds amidst the escalating military violence following October 7, 2023. As Manar guides her students through trauma and attempts to protect her own family, the film raises questions about what it means to raise children under occupation. The film is a co-production of 100% Film, Omroep ZWART, and Philistine Films.
