The short animated film *Photograph of an Insane Woman to Show the Condition of Her Hair* by Arwen Aznag has been selected for La Cinef, the student competition of the Cannes Film Festival (May 12–23), for which the film previously received a VAF Wildcards Booster Card as a Master's Film from the LUCA School of Arts campus in Brussels. The film combines stop-motion with archival footage to depict catcalling, hysteria, and female oppression, while a young woman undergoes a physical transformation. This year, Cannes also welcomes *Coward* by Lukas Dhont to the Official Competition and *Pithead* by Wannes Vanspauwen and Pol De Plecker to the Quinzaine des Cinéastes.
