Kabinet wil 45 miljoen euro minder bezuinigen op publieke omroep'
The cabinet is partially reversing previous cuts to public broadcasting, freeing up a structural €45 million per year for the national public broadcaster, while Minister Letschert is additionally reserving an extra €3 million per year for local broadcasters and €1 million for the freedom and safety of journalists. The previously announced expansion of advertising opportunities for public broadcasters is also being reversed. However, the €100 million cut announced for the NPO in 2024 will proceed.
