The European Commission is funding two projects establishing writers' hubs for the audiovisual sector, each aimed at strengthening writing talent for fiction series. The European Writers Club, supported by €1 million, is building a pan-European network via four regional hubs in Copenhagen, Galicia, Tallinn, and Dublin, where bootcamps stimulate cross-border collaboration between writers, broadcasters, and producers. The Creative Connection, led by Lemming Film together with Razor Film and Haut & Court TV, receives €700,000 to form a think tank that pairs experienced writers with emerging talent, while Le Groupe Ouest supports the project. Both projects run for sixteen months starting in summer 2022.
