NATO is holding closed meetings with screenwriters, directors, and producers from Europe and the US, with three sessions already taking place in Los Angeles, Brussels, and Paris, and a fourth scheduled in London. The talks, held under the Chatham House Rule, have already sparked three projects in development, according to an internal email. Irish screenwriter Alan O'Gorman, whose film **Christy** won Best Picture at the 2026 Irish Film & Television Awards, called the London meeting outright propaganda. Screenwriter and producer Faisal A Qureshi warned that filmmakers could be tempted by privileged access to official briefings, while critics compare the sessions to the decades-long influence of the US Department of Defense on Hollywood productions.
