During a panel at the Cannes Marché du Film, organized by FIAPF, IFTA, and the MPA, piracy was described as a structural threat undermining the financing, distribution, and appreciation of films, resulting in up to 100 billion dollars lost worldwide annually. MPA CEO Charles Rivkin warned that AI enables criminal actors to operate more quickly and announced that Central European Media Enterprises is joining the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment.
