Het coproductieprogramma van Cannes versterkt zijn rol als toegangspoort tot de Europese filmindustrie'
The Cannes Co-Production Programme confirms its role as a gateway to the European industry for emerging international auteurs, supporting early feature film projects through mentoring, workshops, and networking opportunities. Vietnamese filmmaker Thien An Nguyen, whose short film The Dream Is a Snail was selected for the Palme d'Or competition, emphasizes that the program offered targeted guidance tailored to the development phase of each project, while Chinese-German director Dean Wei, known for Extracurricular Activity, presented his project The Apple Doesn't Fall and praised the concrete advice on international co-production strategy. Both point out that the program extends beyond funding by facilitating long-term creative relationships.
