The 17th (S8) Peripheral Film Festival takes place from 2 to 7 June in A Coruña and is organized this year around the theme of solar eclipses, with the opening session The Cosmic Shutter featuring works by Larry Jordan, Georges Méliès, and Bill Morrison. Jeanne Liotta, to whom a retrospective is also dedicated, presents her work Path of Totality, while other focus programs are directed towards John Porter, Bruno Varela, and Els van Riel. The Desbordamientos section opens with the world premiere of the performance version of Descubro el rayo, tus ojos tiemblan by Guillermo Braga. The festival presents a total of 161 works and 35 world premieres.
