The Lanzarote International Film Festival concluded its 26th edition in Arrecife, where No Skate! by French director Guil Sela won the award for Best International Short Film thanks to its ironic portrait of Olympic Paris. In the national category, María Rita by Juan Barbazán triumphed, exploring addiction and motherhood in coastal Galicia with real victims of drug trafficking. The award for Best Documentary Short Film went to 123 Semillas de Nim by Adrián Buenaventura, while Planeta Fome by Éider William was awarded Best Animated Short Film and La habitación by Nacho Peña won the Canarian category.
