Mari Sanders discusses her film Stand Up, which is having its world premiere in the International Narrative Competition at Tribeca. The film follows Vera, a cheerful but indecisive 23-year-old whose future changes radically when a traffic accident confines her to a wheelchair. Stand Up, produced by The Film Kitchen, was discussed during a conversation on the way to Eye Filmmuseum, in which Sanders takes on both roles as writer and director.
