For 2026, the VAF is offering a series of studios and workshops for filmmakers at various levels, with deadlines following closely after the summer. The VAF Summer School, which is receiving a new name and program, focuses on debutant makers looking to familiarize themselves with film management, while Ket & Doc guides makers in the development of short children's documentaries with a production grant of 50,000 euros. The Concept Studio for Fiction Series supports writers in developing TV or web series concepts with a grant of 7,500 euros, and the Innovation Studio guides professional makers looking to transition to AR, VR, or interactive projects. Because the VAF is switching to the new MYVAF system, submissions for autumn deadlines will only be possible starting July 1.
