Dreams of Violets by Iranian-British director Ash Koosha is the first fully AI-generated feature film to be screened at a major film festival, namely Tribeca in New York. The 75-minute drama reconstructs 80% of the actual events surrounding the Iranian anti-government protests of January of this year, with Koosha AI-generated all images and characters because it would be too dangerous to use recognizable people. He produced the film in two and a half months for less than $2,000, whereas comparable CGI would have cost millions, while the script and music were created without AI.
