The Netherlands is strongly represented at the Annecy International Animation Festival (June 21-27) with multiple selections. Hisko Hulsing is having the world premiere of his short film **Danse Macabre** in the Short Competition, an apocalyptic depiction of war set to music by Shostakovich, produced by Valk Productions. Also selected for the Short Competition are **Water Girl** and **Cartoon Physics**. **A Dog's Life** by Sytske Kok and Sophie Olga de Jong is competing in the youth category, while **What Is, Is Now** by Jikke Lesterhuis makes it into the WTF section. Iris van der Meule's interactive work **Lesbian Simulator** has been selected for the Immersive Competition, following earlier selections for SXSW and IDFA.
