In Nigeria most people have no access to basic health care. A broken healthcare system is devastating for any country, state, community and family. In Kwara State there is a program that addresses this challenge. It brings affordable, quality health care to the rural population: The Kwara State Community Health Insurance Program The film tells the story of Ismail and Amina. We see what choices the family faces and what positive impact the program has on this family as well as the community. To date 80,000 people like Ismail and Amina have already chosen to enrol in the program. Hospitals have been financed and improved, now offering the best services in the region. The goal of the Kwara State Government is to expand the program to at least 600,000 people.
