I'm Len, a second year film student. I'm working on my own indi: Saudade. And I'm desperately looking for actors.

Saudade is about Albert. Albert is an elderly man who has Alzheimer's and is slowly losing his memories. His granddaughter, Sasha, often comes to take care of him, and has to tell him every day that his wife has died. Because of his Alzheimer's, he no longer knows this. Albert becomes confused when he mistakes his daughter, Chantal, for his deceased wife. This causes tension in the family, especially between Sasha and her parents, who do not always understand how serious Albert's illness is.

Albert
70+
Albert is a friendly, somewhat forgetful man in his 70s who struggles with Alzheimer's disease. He has a warm, nostalgic nature, enjoys music, especially his old records, and misses his late wife, Bea. His greatest sorrow is the loss of loved ones, and he tries to hold on to memories, although time is increasingly slipping away from him.

Sasha
20+
Sasha is Albert's caring granddaughter, who visits regularly to care for him. She is patient and loving, but her patience is sometimes tested by her grandfather's forgetfulness and emotional turmoil. Sasha has a deep bond with Albert, but also carries the burden of worrying about him and his health.

Chantal
40+
Chantal is Albert's daughter and Sasha's mother. She is often worried about her father, but struggles with her own emotions and the heavy responsibility of caring for Albert. She is sometimes frustrated by the situation and feels isolated in dealing with his illness.

Michael
40+
Michiel is Chantal's husband and Albert's son-in-law. He tries to support his wife and children, but often feels powerless against Albert's situation. His patience and understanding of Albert's illness are tested, especially when tensions within the family increase.

Pleun
20+
Pleun is Sasha's sister, who, together with her family, has to adapt to Albert's situation. Although she plays a supporting role, she is less involved in Albert's care than Sasha. She finds her own way in dealing with her grandfather's illness.

The Boy
15-17
A boy who, like Albert, must navigate loss. He is looking for a condolence card for his father, whose wife has passed away. His encounter with Albert offers a moment of comfort and connection.
