Geluidsman - korte film Live, Love, Loophole

For the last day of shooting our short film Live, Love, Loophole we are still looking for a soundman. Sound equipment can be arranged but it is nice if you have your own gear!

Live, Love, Loophole is a mockumentary about Mike, a young man who wants to propose to his girlfriend Sterre. He has planned a surprise outing where he wants to pop the question, but his plans are thrown into disarray when Sterre unexpectedly invites her eccentric group of friends to come along. Mike has never met her friends, and the situation quickly becomes awkward, especially when he notices how close Sterre and her ex, Paul, are to each other. His jealousy begins to simmer.

A crucial element in the story is that Mike and Sterre have promised each other to “save” themselves for marriage, meaning that they will not have sexual intimacy until they are married. Ironically, while Mike is drunk and unconscious, Sterre seeks solace in Paul and jumps into bed with him. Mike wakes up unexpectedly and finds Sterre and Paul in bed together. He confronts her furiously, but after some emotional confusion he decides to go ahead with his proposal.

The mockumentary uses interviews and testimonies to further unravel the story. For example, Anouk reveals in one of the interviews that the relationship between Mike and Sterre already ended the next morning (after the proposal). It even ends in a violent confrontation in which Sterre kicks Mike into the hospital. Nevertheless, Mike and Sterre eventually get back together. By then, Sterre already has a new boyfriend, with whom she again plans to save themselves for marriage. In other words, Mike is now in Paul's shoes. The viewer then realizes that Sterre is trapped in a disturbed pattern, hence the title: 'Live, Love, Loophole'.
