Opzoek naar acteurs en actrices voor afstudeerfilm

Hello, I am Leon Roossien a film student in the last year of the Dutch Filmers Academy in Eindhoven. At the moment I am working on my graduation film and for that I am looking for a number of actors/actresses.

The film is an absurd slow-burn drama and it follows Frank (~35), who is in a relationship with Nyani (~30). When Frank looks in the mirror during his morning routine, he sees that he has a different nose. With this new nose, he also picks up new scents and he decides to follow this scent trail to possibly get his own nose back. Along the way, he meets various people, who give him cryptic advice based on experience. Based on this advice, he has to decide whether he wants to pay a price to get his old nose back, or learn to live with his new one.

The film borrows a lot of inspiration in shooting style from films like Tarkovsky's Stalker, Kieslowski's The Double life of Véronique and Sean Penn's Into the Wild. There will be a lot of long, slow shots with a lot of movement and (visual) metaphors.

We are looking for someone to play the lead role, Frank. Frank is a man of about 35 years old, just like the safes he designs, he has a rather closed character and he is unable to say everything he wants. Because of this, the actor will have to be able to convey Frank's internal torment with facial expressions. It will also certainly help if he has a reasonably large or prominent nose, because that will be given a fair amount of attention. Filming will take place on 6, 7, 8, 12, 13 and 15 May and Frank is needed for every shooting day, because of this it would be nice if you live near Eindhoven/Helmond, where most of the filming will take place. We will do our best to at least offer a travel allowance.

Nyani is Frank's girlfriend, she is about 30 years old and has a much more open personality than Frank. She talks a lot and can easily share her feelings, both in a conversation, and in her artwork. The shooting days for her scenes are on May 6, 7 and 8.

Furthermore, we are looking for a man and a woman, both around 50 years old. It is a couple who, due to a shared loss, have somewhat neglected their personal care, but can offer Frank wise advice in a calm manner due to their experience. They are both needed on one shooting day, which will take place on May 12, 13 or 15.
