Casting Call Mijnheer de President

I am Justin Huveneers, director of the political tragicomedy Mijnheer de President. For this graduation project at the Dutch Filmers Academy I am still looking for enthusiastic actors and actresses for various roles. The film is set in the dark backstage of Dutch politics, where ideals and integrity clash with the harsh reality of media, power and manipulation. All this with a satirical edge and a good dose of humor.

I am looking for actors (M/F) for various characters:

Main character: Jimmy de Lange (40+) – Charismatic but cynical leader in the making, willing to abandon his principles.

Peter Verhoeven (45+) – Jimmy's cunning rival, enjoys power games and puts his own interests first.

Mark Driessen (50+) – The outgoing Prime Minister, fatherly appearance but mainly driven by power and opportunism.

Felix (20+) – A young, far-right financier; innocent-looking but with disturbing views.

Sophie (25+) – Jimmy's idealistic assistant, struggles with her employer's moral choices.

Karen (50+) – A seasoned party veteran, manipulative and cunning, with her own secret agenda.

Periode
De draaidagen staan gepland tussen 21 april en 3 mei in Maastricht en worden in onderling overleg met de cast vastgesteld.
