Story in short:
In a 10-15 minute coming-of-age road film, two best friends and polar opposites go on a nostalgic road trip along places from their youth. Perfectionist Iris has planned the trip as an excuse, determined to reveal her emigration for her dream career. But this turns out to be not so easy. Impulsive Mila keeps disrupting Iris's structured planning, which causes irritation with each other. The friends seem to have grown apart, but they are afraid of starting their adult lives without each other.

The locations for the road trip will be in the area of Den Bosch. Where most road films seek out beautiful places abroad, this film will visit hidden gems in our own country. Nostalgic places that symbolize the childhood memories of Iris and Mila.

Personal relevance maker:
This story is based on me and my best friend, so different, yet so similar. I am 22 myself and will soon start my 'mature life', an uncertain moment in your life where friendship is all too important. The story is told in a jacket of feel-good clichés and dreamy, nostalgic moments (think: running through the grass and the wind in your hair). As a graduate all-round filmmaker, this short film will reflect my style - which I have developed over the past years. A style that I describe as playful, empathetic and feel-good.

To really do justice to this concept, we are looking for two actresses who can fulfill the roles of Iris (24) and Mila (24). You do not have to be a professional actress or have a lot of experience for this, it is more important to us that you fit the role and can convey this credibly in your acting. The characters are both 24 years old, so we are looking for someone who has this range, furthermore there are no specific physical characteristics that the roles must meet. It is important to have a driving license B, since there will be a number of scenes driving in a car, otherwise it is of course not a road film (;


Character descriptions;
Iris: A perfectionist romantic who lives with lists and plans. Iris has a secret, she is going to emigrate for her dream job. Everything is already arranged and fixed, but she doesn't dare to tell her best friend, for fear that she won't be able to cope without her.

Mila: A chaotic extrovert, who lives in the moment and is not at all concerned with the future. Mila may seem very confident on the outside, but inside she is very insecure about her future and is afraid that she will end up alone.


The most important conditions in a nutshell:
* Camera acting experience not really necessary.
* The characters are 24 years old, so in terms of appearance we are looking for someone who also looks that way.
* A driver's license B is a must.

Vier draaidagen achter elkaar van 12 tot 15 Mei.

Wat bieden wij?
Aangezien dit een studentenproductie is hebben wij helaas maar een minimaal budget ter beschikking, die we ophalen doormiddel een crowdfunding. Daarnaast worden de reiskosten uiteraard vergoed en zorgen wij voor catering en een hele leuke sfeer op set! Wij zijn jonge filmmakers die maar al wat gemotiveerd zijn een mooi verhaal te maken met mede film-liefhebbers. Na een paar jaar ervaring studeer ik af als de regisseur en schrijver van deze korte film, een project die mooi op je portfolio zal staan! :)

Met een aantal mede afstudeerders organiseren wij ook een premiere voor onze uiteindelijke films, ook een erg leuk moment om als acteur bij te zijn en je harde werk op het grote doek te zien!
