Gezocht: (non)acteurs met Aziatisch-Nederlandse roots

In the short hybrid film "Rond de gronden", we will collaborate with several people with Asian-Dutch roots to set up scenes about the connection with their Asian identity and how rituals and traditions can take shape in a Dutch context.

We want to set up a scene with three to four people, in which we want to poetically portray the experience of having Asian roots in the Netherlands, and how there can be a lack of certain rituals and traditions connected to their Asian roots. This can take a different form for everyone, and we would like to find a suitable story for each person.

We would then like to connect these people, by having them come together in the final scene, to reflect on the (different) experiences and to focus on an idea of 'community'. Our brief preliminary research has shown that many people miss a sense of community in the experience of their dual roots, in which, for example, there can be reflection on similar experiences.

We are curious about your perspective on these themes and would like to discuss them on April 4 or 11. We are talking to multiple people, so if there is a mutual connection, we can work closely together to write a scene that fits your experiences.

Periode

We draaien in de periode tussen 12 en 18 mei. De definitieve dagen, waarschijnlijk rond de 2, worden later duidelijk, maar als je graag mee zou willen werken zou het wel fijn zijn als je deze periode in gedachten kunt houden!
