Eye Film Museum
Eye is the only film museum in the Netherlands and a treasurer, pioneer and guide in the world of film and the art of the moving image. The museum manages an international collection of more than 62,000 films, programs in five cinemas and creates leading exhibitions on film and visual arts. Eye shows film in all its diversity and promotes Dutch film in collaboration with the film world at home and abroad. With educational programs and streaming platform Eye Film Player, Eye stimulates the understanding of and love for film, in collaboration with education and the film industry.

About the department
The teaching team consists of five enthusiastic employees who work daily to introduce as many students as possible to film. This happens in the museum, at schools and online.

About the internship position
As an education intern, you will fully immerse yourself in the world of museum and film education! You will become an important part of the education team and will work both on the work floor and in the office. There is plenty of room for your own ideas and creative projects and the opportunity to gain inspiration during meetings and festivals. This internship offers you a unique and versatile experience, in which you will work independently and in a team with the education team. You will have the opportunity to get to know the organization from the inside and to contribute to innovative projects.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden
• het geven van onderwijsprogramma’s voor kinderen en jongeren van verschillende leeftijden en onderwijsniveaus
• het (mede)ontwikkelen van inspirerend lesmateriaal en creatieve filmprogramma’s
• meehelpen om tentoonstellingen toegankelijk en relevant te maken voor een jonge doelgroep
• zoeken en selecteren van de mooiste, boeiendste films die perfect passen bij de doelgroepen
• het ondersteunen bij productionele taken en helpen dat alles op rolletjes loopt.



Jouw profiel
• Ingeschreven bij een opleidingsinstelling voor bijvoorbeeld Communicatie, Media en Cultuur, Kunstgeschiedenis, Film, Museologie, en/of Onderwijs (bij voorkeur derde- of vierdejaars);
• affiniteit en interesse om voor groepen te staan;
• affiniteit met film en lesontwikkeling;
• goede beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal;
• enige ervaring met LessonUp en Adobe CC, zoals Adobe Premiere, is een pré.

Eye is een open, informele en op samenwerking gerichte organisatie in dynamisch Amsterdam-Noord, gevestigd op twee locaties: het iconische museumgebouw aan het IJ met een drukbezocht restaurant, en het Collectiecentrum waar bezoekers de collectie van Eye kunnen raadplegen. Eye wil voor iedereen die van film houdt een aantrekkelijke en toegankelijke plek zijn, ongeacht kleur, religieuze achtergrond, gender, seksuele voorkeur, leeftijd of beperking. Het museum nodigt daarom iedereen die bij wil dragen aan de diversiteit van het filmmuseum uit om te reageren.
Wij bieden

Wat bieden wij?
Een uitdagende stageplek in een inspirerende werkomgeving op een geweldige plek in Amsterdam, met leuke, enthousiaste collega’s. Het betreft een stageplek van 28,8 uur per week voor 5 maanden van 1 september 2025 tot 1 februari 2026. De stagevergoeding bedraagt € 550,- bruto o.b.v. 36 uur per week, inclusief reiskosten. Je werkt in een informele sfeer met ruimte voor eigen initiatief, naast individuele begeleiding. Stagiaires krijgen een medewerkerspas waarmee je gratis films en de tentoonstelling kunt bezoeken.
