For a video about sleep apnea we are looking for a candidate in the age category 11 to 13 years. In the video you will learn more about what sleep apnea is and how it is diagnosed. We will explain how important good sleep is and what the consequences are when you cannot sleep well because of snoring. Together with the presenter you will visit a lung specialist to learn about the condition and with a nurse you will examine a patient and then help with a treatment. There are various treatments possible and you will find out which one is best for the patient.
Sleep apnea is a chronic condition that cannot be cured, but can be treated well to reduce symptoms. Treatment can ensure that you feel less sleepy, have fewer symptoms and reduce the risk of complications.

OmschrijvingWe are looking for a boy or girl (11-13 years old) who wants to learn more about the condition and treatment of sleep apnea. Possibly a candidate with an interest in working in a hospital or in nursing. It is preferred if you know someone who has sleep apnea (but not necessary). The shooting will take place in Noord-Brabant on 1 day. Preferably a boy or girl who is enthusiastic and spontaneous and dares to ask questions on camera.
