Casting Call – Short Film “Machina” (Semi-Professional Project)
We are a group of students from Vista College in Heerlen and will be shooting our very first short film with a budget on June 16 and 17, 2025 (subject to change). For this semi-professional project we are looking for motivated actors who want to bring this cinematic story to life with us.
About the film – “Machina”:
200 years in the future, a diabolical AI has taken over the world. All living creatures have been wiped out, except for Linus and Tristan. These two last survivors are held captive by Machina, an evil AI that subjects them to gruesome tasks every day. The world is cold, desolate and completely controlled by technology that was once meant to help us.
The film is dark, intense and visually powerful, with a strong emphasis on atmosphere, acting and minimalist setting. The project is intended for festival submissions and as a portfolio building for cast and crew.
