DOP WANTED for short film : Pedals and Strides

The film titled Pedals and Strides is a short indie film, about 10 min length.

This story is about : One girl is going through a rough patch with her boyfriend. And today, once again, his words just make her heart ache. After blurting out “Maybe we need some time apart,” she suddenly finds herself alone. Unsure of what to do, she decides to revisit the places filled with memories of him. Then one day, in a quiet park they used to visit often, she unexpectedly runs into him.

A relationship is not a single event, but an ongoing process. At the heart of it flows the theme of 'time.' This film explores the anxiety that arises within a relationship burdened by multiple issues, and the belief—despite everything—that it’s still worth continuing.

We are currently looking for a DOP and a 1st Camera Operator to join our production team. We'll be shooting with a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC). Additional equipment can be arranged in consultation with me.

We prefer candidates with prior experience handling cameras, as we need strong support in translating the script into compelling visuals.

Our crew currently consists of about 7 members, all of whom are amateurs. We’re aiming to create a short film together in a fun and collaborative atmosphere.

This is a low-budget production, so unfortunately, we are unable to provide a fully professional production environment. However, we’re passionate about building a unique portfolio, and we’d love to work with others who share a love for film.

As for myself, I’ve only worked on film productions in Korea, so I still have a lot to learn. I’ll approach this project with humility and a willingness to grow.

Functie eisen / profiel
Who can handle cameras, lenses, focus pulling systems, tripods, and lighting. You don’t need to have extensive experience, but you should have a basic understanding of how to operate this devices.

Wat bieden wij?
Unfortunately, as this is a low-budget student film, we are unable to offer any payment. Only transportation costs and on-set meals will be provided.

The post-production will be completed by mid-July, and you'll be able to see the final version of the film then.
