Acteurs gezocht voor een korte film

For a short film about two children who cope with the divorce of their parents by escaping into their fantasy world, we are looking for actors for the MOTHER and the FATHER. In the opening scene, Sev (the oldest child) is sitting in his room and listening to his parents leaving the house arguing. The parents are not on screen, but their argument sounds painful in the ears of the children and the viewer.

The argument is a hugely important part of the film, because it is the only moment in which the viewer sees the pain the two children experience from the divorce.

Short synopsis:
The parents of Sev (14) and Nomi (7) are going through a divorce and the tension in the house is clearly noticeable. When the parents argue for the umpteenth time about where the car keys are, the children try to calm their parents' argument. In the film, the children are left home alone. Sev seeks distraction from the situation by surrendering to the routine of tiktoks. Nomi goes in search of ways to combat her boredom. She fantasizes about life as a skipper and converts the living room into an ocean with her fantasy ship in the middle. Eventually, Sev opens himself up to join Nomi's fantasy world, he can connect with his sister, and together they sail away from the sea storm that their parents' divorce contains. (In which the arguing voices return in the sound design)

Two actors who speak Dutch with a Portuguese/Brazilian accent. This is because of the Dutch-Brazilian ethnicity of the children.
- Male: 35 to 50 years
- Woman: 35 to 50 years

Both parents have the best intentions for their children, but still end up arguing with each other. They have agreed several times not to argue in front of the children. However, this is uncontrollable at stressful moments.

Periode
Omdat dit een studentenproductie is, is er helaas geen budget. Wel vergoeden wij de reiskosten! Je komt in een fijne sfeer terecht met enthousiaste makers. De film is natuurlijk evt te gebruiken in je portfolio!

Wat bieden wij?
De audio van de ruzie kan worden opgenomen, losstaand van de draaidagen met de kinderen. Het liefst nemen wij de dialoog op op woensdag 11 juni of vrijdag 6 juni. De dialoog tussen de ouders is ongeveer één script pagina.
