We are excited to announce our next production: The Shape of Things by Neil LaBute. This contemporary play explores art, manipulation, and the complexities of relationships, and remains as thought-provoking now as ever.

You will play a crucial role in keeping rehearsals and performances running smoothly, working alongside the executive producer, director and producer.

We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Stage Manager to support the creative team through rehearsals, technical runs, props, stage and visual development and performances. This is an unpaid position initially, with the possibility of payment depending on the play’s financial outcome (box office revenue/profit share).

You are:
- Passionate about live theatre and backstage work
- Highly organised and proactive
- An excellent communicator and natural collaborator
- Able to stay calm and focused under pressure
- Ideally, has some previous stage management or backstage experience (but training and mentorship are available for the right person!)

Periode
You’ll join the project from the end of October 2025 through April 2026, stepping in after casting is complete and with some production elements already in place.

Functie eisen / profiel
- Attend and manage all rehearsals and performances
- Serve as the main point of communication between cast, crew, and creative team
- Maintain rehearsal and performance reports, schedules, and prompt books
- Call cues and ensure the smooth running of shows and technical rehearsals
- Coordinate backstage activity and problem-solve in real time
- Support the production team in logistics, props, and set changes as needed
