Acteurs gezocht voor afstudeerfilm

For Kayvan Kersbergen's graduation film 'Radio Tehran', we are looking for two actors and several featured extras.

The film's logline: An elderly Iranian man lives in Amsterdam, his mind still in Iran. When his young grandson confronts him with an old photo, the gap between generations and worlds is slowly bridged.

Omschrijving
1. Esmaeil (age range: 65-70). A quiet, somber man of Iranian descent. He moved to the Netherlands later in life, so he doesn't yet have a good command of the language. Therefore, it's important to be able to speak Farsi fluently.

2. Kyan (age range: 10-12). Esmaeil's grandson, a cheerful and energetic boy with Persian appearance. Kyan wants to get to know his grandfather and discover why the past was so important to him. Kyan was born and raised in the Netherlands and speaks Dutch to his grandfather in the film.

3. Passerby (extra with text, v/x). Kyan asks if you can take a picture of him and his grandfather.

4. Mother with child aged 5-9 (featured extra). No text, but clearly visible. You see Kyan and Esmaeil passing by as they stroll through the city. They observe the interaction between the mother and child.

Praktische informatie:

De film zal gedraaid worden op 15, 16 en 23 november in Amsterdam. Er zal eind oktober in overleg met de cast een repetitie ingepland worden. Reiskosten worden vergoed.
